The House of Lourdes (2004-2005, as Sodium in 2006)
(Bass)
As an inexperienced “jam artist”, I joined a band with a handful of old friends from high school. Within a couple of short years, we went from barely being able to play our instruments… to being a house band which opened for larger acts at a handful of music venues in Athens. We did not perform covers, and primarily played music written by members of our 5-piece band.
Tim Miller Band (2004 – 2013)
(Bass, Backing Vocals, Sound Tech)
From college through my early adult life, I played bass and backing vocals for a Southern Rock and Country band led by Tim Miller. It was with this band that I learned how to become comfortable with playing live in front of large audiences and how to play by ear. Although we had a catalog of around 50 cover songs, Tim wrote about 10 original songs which we played regularly.
Here is a live recording from one of our first live shows:
Experimentation, Session, and Solo work (Present)
(Bass, Synthesizer, Vocals, Recording, Mixing)
Since the break-up of Tim Miller Band… and the demanding schedule of work and family… I have not had an opportunity to seek steady work as a musician. I continue to get the itch from time-to-time and still play with close friends and ex-bandmates as often as I can. When I don’t have other players available, I continue to experiment in my home studio in hopes to finish my instrumental concept album.
